I’ve always loved learning and writing about how stuff works. Inspired by my son’s work in city planning and my own career in technology-driven storytelling, this blog tells the stories of passionate, innovative people engaged in modernizing and transforming the nation’s physical and digital infrastructure.

My goal is to educate readers—in clear, simple terms—about evolving infrastructure issues that matter in their daily lives. I explain these issues through the personal and professional experiences of the infrastructure specialists I profile. Everyone has a story to tell, and each of my profile subjects is making significant contributions to their respective industry.
